Sometimes letting go is just too painful. Many people find that holding on to just a small amount of their precious pet, whether it be a small amount of their cremains or a clipping of their hair, it somehow keeps them near and their memories close. This Memorial Key Chain provides a discreet, yet attractive means of keeping your pet’s memories close. The main key ring is 1-1/4″ with plenty of room to hold your keys. Attached to the main ring is a 1-1/2″H “Tear Drop” key ring, which allows the urn to hang below your keys to help prevent scratching. Below the Tear Drop key ring is the Keepsake Urn and Dog Angel Charm. I use only the spiral jump rings so you don’t have to worry about the charm or urn coming free from the key ring. The charm is a metal cast with white enamel wings and the keepsake urn is made of anodized aluminum with a rubber seal for air/water-tight protection. Inside the urn is a small plastic vial with a screw-on cap where you put a small amount of your pet’s cremains or hair clippings. Use it as your key chain to keep your pet’s memories with you wherever you go or place inside the included Velveteen pouch for safe keeping. (Color and style of pouch may vary). Complete instructions are included. The Keepsake Urn may be engraved for an additional cost of $12.00. Your pet’s name and date of death will be professionally engraved on the side of the Keepsake Urn. Please allow 5-7 Business Days for the engraving after receipt of payment. THE MEASUREMENTS The Keepsake Urn measures 1-3/4″H x 1/2″ Diameter. The inner vial measures 1″H x 3/8″Diameter. The Angel Charms measure 3/4″H x 3/4″W. Keyring is 1-1/4″ Diameter (32mm), the secondary keyring (“Tear Drop”) is 1-1/2″H x 3/4″W. Total length of the keychain is 4-1/2″. The Velveteen pouch is approximately 3-1/2″H x 3″W. The heart plate comes in two sizes, the large one measures 2-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ and the smaller one measures 2″ x 1-3/4″. The plates have pressure sensitive adhesive on the back, so you just peel and stick. Plexi-brass is two layers of a plastic type material, which resemble brass. The engraving machine cuts through the first layer, exposing the black layer beneath it. This is preferable to many people, as the print shows clearly against the color of the plate, unlike a brass plate where the engraving would be the same color. It is also ideal for outdoor use, as it will not tarnish or fade, and again, you can clearly see the print. My customers use these for a variety of purposes, for outdoor headstones, indoor urns, scrapbooks, shadow-boxes, frames, etc. Typically, the engraving consists of your pet’s name, date of birth and date of death.
