Our stainless steel dog tag keychains are similar to military tags but a little heavier and better quality. They are glass blasted to a satin finish, then engraved with a state-of-the-art laser machine. The design and name will be applied by a patented Metal Fusion Process. The laser fused design is not affected by heat, chemicals or solvents and is highly resistant to abrasion. Actual size is about 1″ by 2″. This listing is for your choice of any of the plates shown. All heart plates are available in silver or gold. The heart plate comes in two sizes, the large one measures 2-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ and the smaller one measures 2″ x 1-3/4″. The plates have pressure sensitive adhesive on the back, so you just peel and stick. Plexi-brass is two layers of a plastic type material, which resemble brass. The engraving machine cuts through the first layer, exposing the black layer beneath it. This is preferable to many people, as the print shows clearly against the color of the plate, unlike a brass plate where the engraving would be the same color. It is also ideal for outdoor use, as it will not tarnish or fade, and again, you can clearly see the print. My customers use these for a variety of purposes, for outdoor headstones, indoor urns, scrapbooks, shadowboxes, frames, etc. Typically, the engraving consists of your pet’s name, date of birth and date of death.
